Unused RRSP contributions

Unused RRSP contributions are the amount of your registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) contributions that you could not deduct or have chosen not to deduct and that did not designate as an HBP or LLP repayment for any year.

Use Schedule 7 when you file your tax return for the year of contribution to carry forward the unused RRSP contributions to following year. You can then use it as a deduction in any year as long as you have the contribution room.
